Climate Forecast System

CFS Outlook November 15th 2008

The November 15th Climate Forecast System temperature outlook. The model has now reverted back to the idea of a colder than normal first half of the winter (Nov-Dec-Jan) over the east. Given the pattern that looks to be evolving in the next 10 to 15 days, this forecast makes sense. It extends the at or slightly below normal temperatures through much of the winter around the Great Lakes and Ohio Valley, but calls for much above normal temperatures across the Southwest. The next post will be December 1st.
