The big idea here's the reason for the collaborative, and how it works. We collect, de-water, filter, and distribute waste vegetable oil, and sell it at cost to whoever wants it. We take no personal profit from this endeavor, and we don't care (or ask) what you use the grease for. Non- members can buy available grease for $2 a gallon. YOU MUST BE A MEMBER of the collaborative to purchase grease at the current member rate of $1/gal. . Becoming a member is easy, and free. As a member, you'll be asked for a few hours of help a month in the manual labor we all share. Cars that run on vegetable oil for fuel are clean, efficient, easy to use, and they save you a lot of money. Vegetable oil is recycled, renewable, plentiful, grown in the USA, and nobody's fighting wars over the stuff! Unfortunately, the process of getting set up, and collecting and filtering oil on your own can be costly, dirty, and time consuming. That's where we come in. In an effort to get the word out about grease cars, and to encourage other people to take the plunge, we've built this site, and we'll do all the dirty work for you.

FAQ: do I need to be running on grease to sport one of these handsome stickers? A: of course not! Showing support, spreading the word, and living with respect for nature is what it's all about. FAQ: are you going to catalog, sell, or otherwise use my mailing address for deeds mischivous and murky? Will my mailbox fill with credit card applications and gardening catalogs? A: no. These stickers are made of a glamourous and glossy 7 year exterior grade vinyl. Also available is the same, applied to a recycled magnet, which you can slap on your car anytime, and take off anytime. | Need Grease? Man do we have grease! We collect from over two dozen local restaurants, including some that go through hundreds of gallons worth a week. We de-water using a solar hot water system, and filter down to 1 micron- that's better than you get at the gas station! What you use it for is up to you-We don't care if you use it to heat your house, make biodiesel, run your car- for all we care, you can take a bath in it- our mission is simply to make and distribute quality recycled vegetable oil for free. READY TO BE CONVERTED???  That's not what we do. But we can reccomend companies that we've had good luck with, and local mechanics that can install your grease conversion kit. We'll get you the gear to collect and store grease with (no need to filter- we'll do that at the shop), and we'll come pick it up- all at no charge! It's a great way to save money, and it's also a way to show folks on Cape that you're community minded.
