Calm After The Storm

Sunday September 7, 2008 09:00 AM

Tropical Storm Hanna, which crossed over the region Saturday Night, is now pushing into the Canadian Maritimes as a strong extra-tropical system. Behind Hanna, northwest winds have taken hold of New England, allowing things to dry out and quiet down.

The northwest wind is a downsloping flow, which means plenty of sunshine (as seen in this Sunday morning satellite image) and pleasant temperatures. In fact, both Sunday and Monday are looking like great days with sunshine and temperatures in the upper 70s.
